Kōdō-ha & Tōsei-ha Factions & the Question of Japanese Fascism in WWII

As we're branching into more content on Imperial Japan on the channel, I figured it would be a good idea to talk about the two main political factions in Japan during the 1920s, 30s, and 40s--the Kōdō-ha (or Imperial Way) and Tōsei-ha (or Control) Factions. Related to this is a question that has vexed scholars for years: was Japan during this period a fascist country, or not? In this video I hope to offer some answers.
