Tension is flaring between Poland and Belarus over the rise in migrants crossing into the EU. Troops from both countries have been deployed to the border. Poland has closed a border crossing and said it's prevented hundreds of people from crossing.

The German politician singled out Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko for being foremost among key players in escalating the conflict.
