월드뉴스: 영국, 테러경보 '심각'으로 상향…문 잠근 택시운전사 '영웅적'

Let's take a look at what's going on in 'The World Now'.

The UK raised its national threat level to severe on Monday,... after declaring a taxi explosion outside a hospital in Liverpool on Sunday a terrorist incident.
A 'severe' threat level means another attack is seen as highly likely,... keeping officials on high alert throughout the day.
The explosion occurred around 11AM as a Remembrance Day service to commemorate the war dead was being held at nearby Liverpool Cathedral.
The taxi was blown up by an explosive device that was in the possession of a passenger who was killed by the explosion.
Three men,... all in their 20s were arrested on Sunday,... while a fourth was arrested Monday.
The taxi driver,... who survived the blast,... was praised for his heroics.

"So, first of all, this is an ongoing investigation and so I can't comment on the details or exactly what type of incident it was, what type of crime it may have been, but it does look as though the taxi driver in question did behave with incredible presence of mind and bravery...."

Police say they believe they know the identity of the passenger who carried the explosive,... but could not disclose it.

Video footage released by Polish authorities on Monday shows a massive group of migrants gathering in large groups on the Belarusian side of the fence at the main Kuznica border crossing,... with Polish military seen defending the border.
Migrants were also met with rows of razor wire fencing,... as Poland ramps up measures at its border to prevent any migrants from coming into the country.
The EU has accused Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko of orchestrating the influx of migrants to EU member countries like Poland, Lithuania and Latvia to pressure the bloc to back down over sanctions slapped on his government.
Polish border guards have reported over 5-thousand irregular crossings from Belarus so far in November,... compared to just 120 in all of 2020.

French President Emmanuel Macron has switched to using a darker navy blue on the official French flag,... replacing the previous brighter shade,... in an apparent nod to the French Revolution.
The change of color on the flags adorning the Elysee Palace was first made a year ago,... but went mostly unnoticed until recently.
Both the darker and lighter blues have been in use for decades,... as the French navy and many of the country's official buildings have used the darker hue.
The lighter hue was introduced in 1976 under President d'Estaing,... as the country wanted to match the blue on the flag of Europe.
The French presidential office made it clear that the latest change should not be interpreted as an anti-EU gesture.
