Israeli regime launches missile strike against Damascus. The army air defenses intercepted after midnight Israeli missiles that targeted some sites in the surroundings of Damascus and downed most of the missiles. A military source told the news that at 12:56 a.m. on Thursday dawn, the Israeli enemy launched a new aerial strikes from over the Lebanese territories through which it targeted a number of sites in the surroundings of Damascus, asserting that the Syrian Air defenses intercepted the enemy’s missiles and downed most of them. The source added that the Israeli strike caused the injury of four soldiers and material damage. Lebanese news TV channel said that one of the Syrian Air defenses missiles followed up an Israeli hostile warplane in the border area as the sound was heard throughout southern Lebanese airspaces. In 16th March, the army air defenses intercepted Israeli missiles from the direction of occupied Golan that targeted some sites in the surroundings of Damascus and downed most of the enemy’s missiles. Israeli airstrikes targeted a number of sites in southern Syria after midnight Sunday, Syrian state media reported, in the latest in a series of strikes attributed to the Jewish state. The strike came amid a reported uptick in efforts by Iran to transfer advanced weapons to its proxies in the region through Syria. The strikes hit facilities in the area of Damascus International Airport, through which Iran has reportedly been flying advanced munitions — most recently on Saturday — as well as military sites around the Damascus suburb of el-Kisweh, a long-time base of Iranian operations.
