"A Light in Darkness: Violent Attacks on the Jewish Community and the Fight to Overcome Them"

Published on Nov 29, 2021
Join a diverse panel of Jewish experts from various streams of Judaism to talk about the ongoing scourge of violent anti-Semitic attacks against the Jewish community around the world. Each panelist discusses the long-term aftermath of the attacks that occurred in their neighborhood (the Tree of Life massacre, the Jersey City kosher supermarket shooting, the Monsey stabbings, the Halle synagogue attack attempt in Germany), and also presents solutions regarding what can be done moving forward to prevent future attacks. The distinguished panel consists of: Rabbi Jeffrey Myers (Rabbi and Cantor at the Tree of Life Congregation in Pittsburgh, PA), Dalia Grinfeld (ADL's Assistant Director of European Affairs), Rabbi Moshe Schapiro (Rabbi and Founder, the Chabad Branch of Hoboken and Jersey City, NJ), and Rivkie Feiner (Orthodox Community Activist in Rockland County, NY). This program was hosted and moderated by Scott Richman (ADL's New York/New Jersey Regional Director) and was presented by the Anti-Defamation League as part of the "Never is Now" ADL Summit.
