The question I want to ask is, why would a 12 and a 14 year old rather arm themselves and shoot it out with the cops then go back to their foster home? Who runs the foster home and what goes on in there?
Earlier incident at Florida United Methodist Children's Home: https://www.clickorlando.com/news/local/2021/03/31/childrens-home-security-guard-fighting-for-his-life-after-teen-attacks-him-volusia-county-sheriff-says/
The 12-year-old boy and the 14-year-old girl ran away from Florida United Methodist Children’s Home.
Authorities said the children found several guns, including a shotgun and an AK-47, inside the home and opened fire on deputies as they investigated a report of a break-in. Chitwood said his deputies “took fire” for about 30 minutes.

Deputies said that there was a shootout between two juveniles who ran away from a Central Florida children's group home and the deputies who found them.
